VGP Pipe: Production and Application

Production of pipes VGP

For the manufacture of VGP pipes, high -quality steel is used, which is well welded: 10, 20, 3P, 3PS. Depending on the purpose and operating conditions, they may additionally be terminated.

Technological process of production of water and gas pipes:

prepare barks (these are metal stripes of the required thickness, length and width);

Form prepared blanks using special equipment (the customer can choose the necessary dimensions and shapes);

At the next stage, the joint on the pipe is welded (this is the most crucial stage, since the seam should be of high quality);

I evaluate the qualities of the pipe in accordance with the GOSTs, while performing an X -ray study of the weld to identify cracks and pores.

At the final stage, the pipes are subjected to heat treatment in order for it to become strong and resistant to adverse effects of various external factors.

The customer can additionally order a cut or roller tape to the ends of the pipes. In addition, galvanized pipes with threads can be additionally equipped with couplings for their installation. Simple pipes are welded with electric or gas welding.

The use of VGP pipes

By name, you can immediately determine the areas of application of these models. VGP is water and gas pipeline, therefore they are mainly used for main gas pipelines and water pipelines, as well as for watering water and gas to houses. But this is not the only purpose of the VGP, since they are universal. For example, they are often used to pump liquid and gaseous substances in enterprises.

In terms of strength, water and gas pipes are divided into:

Lungs with acceptable pressure of 25 kgf/cm2;

ordinary;

and reinforced with permissible pressure of 32 kgf/cm2.

The choice of strength depends on its purpose. In this case, the strength of the pipes depends on the thickness of the walls.

Most often, galvanized reinforced VGP pipes are chosen for laying a hot water supply pipeline, and for cold water supply of medium thicknesses.

Thin VGP is used to lay the gas pipeline, because gas does not have adverse effects on the inner surface.

To increase the life of the pipes, a zinc layer is applied to them. For laying the water supply pipeline, it is better to use galvanized. At the same time, you should not save, because the quality of the pipeline and its durability depends on it.
