The creation of the appearance of the house is commensurate with art. A dull gray fence does not cause positive emotions, and the picturesque hedge is not only able to delight the owner of the site, but will not leave indifferent neighbors. You think that only an experienced landscape designer is able to realize your dreams of a hedge? You are mistaken! This work of art is really and affordable to make with your own hands. One of the options for creating is the presence of the frame, it can easily become an old fence or mesh.We will determine where to start work on the manufacture of a hedge.
We highlight the place for planting the hedge. The perimeter of the site must be covered with a cord – it will be marking. We dig a trench in the place where we are going to “grow” the fence. The size of the trench depends on the root system of the seedlings. In the reference points we clog the columns, on them with an interval of 3-5 cm, we pull the rope. The number of rows of rope depends on the height of the hedge.
The next stage is the preparation of the soil. The bottom of the ditch is loosened with the pitchfork and add fertilizers. Dense soil must be facilitated by applying sand (proportion 1: 3). The best time to plant plants: Spring (first of April) and Autumn, shortly before frost.
When selecting seedlings, take into account the climate and the type of the desired fence. For a high fence, choose the seedlings of thuja, elm or hawthorn. For a low fence, lilac, willow, rose hips are suitable.
Plant trimming – mandatory care for a live fence, not excluding watering and top dressing. Cut the trees that drop the foliage twice a year: half at the end of June, and in the fall, shortening the shoots up to 10 cm. Cut the evergreen plants once a year, in early August.
After rooting of plants, you can begin to form a fence. The perfect formation time is the next season after landing. To give the density of the hedge, we advise you to weave plant branches. Gardeners give the form to the bushes with scissors.
