The first thing that needs to be dismantled when installing is an old window. You need to remove the window frame, tide, window sill. Then prepare the window opening. Then we can install a plastic window. Remove the wings and remove the double -glazed window. We insert a window frame, fix the window block with temporary wedges. We fix the frame with mounting plates or anchor bolts. For fastening to wood, you can use building screws. You can not use nails! The frame needs to be set in terms of vertical frame, too, is set in level.
Next, you need to moisten the window opening in the places for damping. The foam is applied evenly. It is important to fill out all the cavities to simplify the process use a special mounting gun. After the foam dries, isolate.
The next step will be the installation of an ebb (cornice) and window sill. It is best to install a new toll and window sill. The window sill carved under the opening is attached to the window (substitute profile). If the opening under the windowsill is small, then you need to disconnect it. If the opening of a large size, then you need to be covered with a solution or make a masonry. Remember that the width of the windowsill should be 2cm more desirable, because 2 cm will “leave” under the window frame.
After installing the tide and the windowsill, you need to make the finish of the slopes. They can be plastic, plastic or drywall. It is best to use plastic slopes. Since they will improve the appearance of the window, increase sound and thermal insulation.
At the last stage, we install in a double -glazed window and sash in the window frame. If desired, an auxiliary accessories are installed – a mosquito net, a latch, a step ventilator. The windows can be operated almost immediately, with the exception of the windows that have large opening wings, in this case you will have to wait for the complete solidification of the mounting foam. You need to strictly observe this rule. Do not forget to remove the protective film immediately after the installation is completed, since the adhesive base can ruin the appearance.
The correctly installed window should perform heat – and soundproof functions, release moisture and air from the room, pass sunlight. Also, with proper installation, the service life of the window structure is significantly increased.
